Xavier Dolan

A celebrated revolutionary in author cinema

Hardly any other filmmaker has been celebrated as euphorically in the past few years as the director, screenwriter and actor Xavier Dolan, born in Montreal on March 20, 1989. It all started in 2009 with the premiere of his debut film "I Killed My Mother" at the Cannes Festival - Dolan was only 20 years old and became the great hope for the weakening "film d'auteur" almost overnight. Since then he has been working tirelessly, creating a wide variety of works "Laurence Anyways" (2012) and "Mommy" (2014), the ironic ballad "Heartbreaker" or the clever psychological thriller "Don't say who you are!".
